Polling stations near closing after steady turnout

More than an hour remained before polling stations closed on Saturday evening, with voters continuing to cast their ballots, mbl.is reported. Ministers and representatives of the no campaign movements had submitted their votes.
Polling stations had been busy, and turnout was described as fairly good.
Foreign media closely followed the election campaign and tracked the leaders of the governing parties.
The first results from the South constituency are expected at 10.30pm.
