Large iceberg spotted off Iceland’s Westfjords

mbl.is reports that a large iceberg was spotted about 20 nautical miles west of the mouth of Dýrafjörður in Iceland’s Westfjords.

The Icelandic Meteorological Office received a report from a ship about the iceberg on Friday. Later that evening, it was sent a photograph of the iceberg, with a significant amount of smaller icebergs in the surrounding area.

The iceberg’s exact size is not known, but the Meteorological Office said it was clearly on the larger side.
