Iceland’s president remembers King Harald with warmth and gratitude

Icelandic President Halla Tómasdóttir has remembered King Harald of Norway, who died early on Friday, mbl.is reports.

“I remember him with great warmth and gratitude. His warmth, joy and light-hearted nature made our meetings especially memorable,” Halla wrote on Instagram.

“My thoughts are with his family and our relatives in Norway at this time of sorrow.”

Halla and Harald met at the Norwegian royal palace last year.
