Prime minister backs minister despite unauthorised order

The Faroese public broadcaster KVF reported that Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen continues to have full confidence in Business Minister Jacob Vestergaard, despite confirmation that Vestergaard issued an official order without the authority to do so.

“If members of the Løgting want to take the matter further, they have various avenues available,” Johannesen said.

KVF reported on the matter on Thursday.
