Measles outbreak linked to Urkult festival reaches 35 cases

Six people who did not attend the Urkult festival have contracted measles, SVT reports.

The total number of confirmed cases linked to the outbreak has now risen to 35, according to the latest update from the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Twenty nine people were infected at the festival, while the remaining six caught measles from someone who had attended.

Most of those infected are school age children and young adults. Most of the people who became ill were unvaccinated.
