Hoydalar prepares new music series

Kringvarp Føroya reports that preparations are well under way for a new series of Hoydalar, a music programme that was highly popular this winter.

The six upcoming talents and five new stars have all been selected. The stage is almost finished, and filming is expected to begin soon.

The selected participants will perform songs belonging to five different stars. Maria Winther Olsen, the programme producer, said the broadcaster received nearly 100 applications from young people who wanted to take part. Thirty were selected to come in and sing.

“Once again, we can confirm that we have many talented young people, and it was difficult to choose. But now I am looking forward to it, because the young people are very talented and get along well,” Winther Olsen said.

She also welcomed the fact that most of the production team at Kringvarp Føroya will be the same as last time.
