Guðmundur Fertram takes Arctic Circle investment role

Guðmundur Fertram Sigurjónsson, founder of Kerecis, has become the Arctic Circle’s Senior Emissary for Investment and Business, mbl.is reports.

In the role, he will work to promote increased investment, trade and entrepreneurship in the Arctic among investors, companies and entrepreneurs, according to an announcement from Arctic Circle.

The announcement said he brings extensive experience as an entrepreneur, investor and leader in international business.

“It is a great honour to take on a role focused on connecting people, ideas and capital. The Arctic offers tremendous opportunities for sustainable value creation. The task is to create connections that enable good ideas to become international companies and investments,” Guðmundur Fertram was quoted as saying.
