Lahti is planning a new data centre in the Kujala industrial area, Yle reports. The project is being developed by Ecogrid Energy Oy and construction company Peab.
The developers have submitted applications for a building permit and a deviation permit to the city.
According to Peab, construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027, with the data centre expected to be completed in 2028.
A separate 1.2 billion euro data centre is already under construction in Lahti’s Kiveriö district and is due to begin operations next year.
