The deadline for appealing the environmental impact assessment approved by SEV is set for this coming Friday.

The wind farm in Klivaløkshaga is part of a development plan announced in April by SEV, the Local Government Association, and the national government.

However, it remains unclear who can appeal the approval of SEV’s environmental assessment for Klivaløkshaga. The Ministry of the Environment will decide whether to consider the appeals once they are submitted.

A week ago, the Minister of the Environment, Ingilín Didriksen Strøm, pointed out the opportunity for citizens to appeal SEV’s environmental assessment approval.

As noted, the deadline for appeals is this Friday, and they must be directed to the Minister of the Environment.

Only those who are directly and personally affected by the decision have the right to appeal. According to Hilmar Høgenní, head of the Department at the Environmental Agency, each case will be assessed individually to determine who qualifies for the right to appeal.
