Sweden’s Moderate Party plans to abolish fees for preschool and after-school care, SVT reports.
Party leader and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and deputy party leader Elisabeth Svantesson will visit a preschool in Mariefred on Tuesday, when the party is expected to announce the election pledge.
The reform is estimated to cost about 10 billion kronor a year. The Moderates say it would be financed through reduced bureaucracy, efforts to curb benefit fraud and reallocated foreign aid.
