Finland’s new F-35 fighters to arrive in Rovaniemi by October

Finland’s new F-35A Lightning II multirole fighters will arrive in Rovaniemi by October 1, Yle reports, citing the Finnish Air Force communications centre.

The Lapland Air Wing will hold an official reception ceremony for the aircraft in October.

The Air Force has not disclosed the exact date of their arrival, but said it would issue information once the fighters had reached Finland.

Finland has ordered a total of 64 F-35 fighters from the United States.
