Icelandair, Vágar Airport, Widerøe

Norwegian airline Widerøe has stopped flying to the Faroe Islands for the year, according to Kringvarp Føroya. Its final flight was on Friday, three days before the end of the revised schedule.

Widerøe initially told Vágar Airport that it planned to operate the route from late March until late October, during the summer schedule. The airline later reduced the service to the period from June 19 to August 21.

Icelandair will operate flights to the Faroe Islands three times a week this winter.
