Summer returns after cold weekend

Summer-like weather will return to Finland after a cold weekend, with mostly dry conditions expected across the country, Yle meteorologist Matti Huutonen says.

On Monday, a low-pressure system southeast of Finland will bring showers to eastern and southeastern parts of the country. A few showers may also reach the south, but most areas will remain dry. By evening, skies will be widely clear, especially in the west and north.

Daytime temperatures will rise to nearly 20 degrees Celsius in the southwest and remain around 15 degrees in the north.

Tuesday will be dry and generally sunny. Cloud cover will be heavier in northern Lapland, where some showers are possible. Temperatures will rise slightly from Monday’s levels.
