Fredrik, 16, drove an injured boy directly to hospital after witnessing him being stabbed during an attack at Brinell School in Fagersta, SVT reports.
Fredrik was in the school’s student hall when he saw an armed person wearing a helmet and carrying a sword. He initially thought it was a prank, but then saw the attacker stab a boy nearby.
Fredrik escaped the school and called the emergency number 112 at 14:06. As he was about to leave in his epa vehicle, he saw the injured boy.
The boy was with a friend, and Fredrik picked them both up. He drove along the pedestrian and cycle path beside the national road and straight to the hospital.
Fredrik believed the boy had been stabbed in the upper body and arm and told him to apply pressure to the wounds. They reached the hospital shortly afterwards. The boy was treated before being taken on by ambulance.
“I’m just glad he survived,” Fredrik told SVT. “I still haven’t taken in everything that has happened.”
