Two people were rescued after a small boat took on water and sank off Slættanes in Vágar on Saturday afternoon, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Another boat in the area came to their aid and got them safely off the vessel before it sank.
Earlier on Saturday, a man was charged with breaching public order regulations after causing a disturbance in the entrance hall of the National Hospital and outside the hospital, the duty officer at the police station said.
Police also arrested a driver for driving under the influence of drugs and seized seven mopeds in Runavík. Officers will investigate whether the mopeds had been modified to travel faster. Their permitted maximum speed is 30 kilometres per hour.
