Motorcycle and car collide near Vaðlaheiðagöng tunnel

A motorcycle and a passenger car collided near a viewing platform in Vaðlahlíð in Eyjafjörður between 4 and 5 p.m. on Thursday, mbl.is reports.

Traffic delays have formed near the Vaðlaheiðagöng tunnel as a result of the crash.

A police duty chief in North Iceland said emergency responders were on their way to the scene. No further information about the accident was immediately available.
