22-year-old Hungarian man charged with taking 15-year-old to Hungary

A 22-year-old Hungarian man has been charged with the prolonged deprivation of a 15-year-old Danish girl’s liberty after allegedly taking her from Denmark to Hungary on 4 August, DR reports.

Police also accuse the man of grooming the girl between 25 January and 4 August 2026 with the intention of subjecting her to a sexual offence. They allege that he used social media and text messages to build the relationship.

The charges were presented during a remand hearing at the court in Horsens. The prosecution had requested a reporting ban on the charges, but the judge rejected the request.

The 22-year-old denies the charges.
