Workers continue walkout at Helsinki post centre

Workers at the Pasilan post centre in Helsinki continued their walkout on Thursday, Yle reported, citing the Finnish News Agency STT.

Filip Djordjevic, chair of the Pasilan branch of the Finnish Post and Logistics Union, told STT that the night shift and Thursday morning shift also walked out after the evening shift on Wednesday.

According to Djordjevic, 80 to 90 per cent of employees in the evening and night shifts took part in the walkout.

The workers are protesting Posti’s new change negotiations. The walkout may particularly delay letters and small packages delivered to homes.
