Denmark’s defence ministry has agreed a deal with defence company Terma for a command-and-control system designed to help the armed forces detect and respond to drone threats, DR reports.

The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Defence’s Materiel and Procurement Agency. The system is intended to improve the Danish defence’s ability to spot drones.

“We must be able to protect ourselves against drones. Therefore, the ambition is to have a genuine drone shield, and the agreement we have now made with the agency and Terma is an important part of creating an overall picture of what is happening,” Defence Minister Jeppe Bruus said.
