National Coalition Party hits lowest support in more than five years

The National Coalition Party, led by Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, has fallen to its lowest support in more than five years, according to a Helsingin Sanomat poll reported by Yle.
Support for the governing party stood at 16.5 percent. Its support was last lower in a Helsingin Sanomat poll in 2021.
The opposition Social Democratic Party remained the most popular party, with 23.8 percent support. The Finns Party, which is in government, ranked third with 14.6 percent, followed by the opposition Centre Party with 13.7 percent.
The survey was conducted by research company Verian through an online panel, with more than 2,900 people interviewed. The margin of error for the largest parties was approximately 1.8 percentage points in either direction.
