Spot electricity prices to remain high on Wednesday

Spot electricity prices will remain high on Wednesday, Yle reports. The lowest price will be 10 cents per kilowatt hour during the early morning, while the highest price will rise above 22 cents at 8pm.

The average price, including value added tax, will be 16 cents per kilowatt hour. The average price over the past seven days has been just over six cents per kilowatt hour.

Spot electricity also became more expensive on Tuesday. The price was still below five cents per kilowatt hour at 7am, but began to rise afterwards and exceeded 20 cents at 8pm.
