Stebbi Jak leaves Dimma after 15 years

Stefán Jakobsson, known as Stebbi Jak, has left the band Dimma after 15 years of working together, mbl.is reports. He released his solo album “Líttu í kringum þig” this summer and spoke about his career as a guest on Dagmál.

Asked what he would take from his time with Dimma, he first mentioned extensive experience and a vast amount of good music.

“Huge victories on the music stage. There isn’t a municipality we haven’t played in. There isn’t a large-scale event where we haven’t performed. Eyjar, Laugardalshöll, Eldborg, symphony orchestras, you name it. Everything has been done,” he said.

“I choose to take with me everything that is positive and good. I will continue performing the songs that mean a lot to me, doing so with pride and always taking care. That is what I take with me: music.”

Stebbi also performed a song during the programme.
