University launches three new engineering programmes

Fróðskaparsetrið, the University of the Faroe Islands, has launched three new engineering programmes this year, with 21 students starting in electrical engineering, construction engineering and mechanical engineering, KVF reported Monday.

The students were among 270 people who began their studies at the university as its introductory week for new students got under way.

“Construction engineering at Fróðskaparsetrið is an excellent idea,” said Eyðun Jákupsson Tausen from Tórshavn, one of the students starting the programme.

Jóhannus Krismundsson is the programme director.
