Police help free two visitors trapped on Reykjavik Ferris wheel

Two visitors were left trapped on the Ferris wheel at Miðbakki quay in Reykjavik last night, mbl.is reports.

Staff had switched off the wheel and appeared to have left the area when the visitors called the police for assistance.

By the time officers arrived, staff had realised what had happened and released the visitors.

The incident was recorded in the police log covering calls from yesterday afternoon until early this morning. The Ferris wheel is open until 11pm every day of the week.
