Beinir Johannesen and Mette Frederiksen to host Nordic meeting

Faroese Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen will host a meeting of the Nordic countries in Denmark on Thursday, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

All eight Nordic countries will attend the meeting. The agenda includes cooperation on Nordic defence and ways to protect children and young people online.

Johannesen said the Faroe Islands would once again call for full participation in Nordic cooperation.

Frederiksen said negotiations on independent Faroese and Greenlandic participation would continue.
