Thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast for parts of Finland

Rain and thunderstorms are expected in many parts of central and northern Finland on Sunday, particularly in the west, Yle reports.

Some areas could receive heavy rainfall, while thunderstorms may bring strong gusts of wind.

An isolated shower may also reach southern Finland. The warmest and sunniest weather is expected in the southeast.

A low-pressure system will continue to affect Finland on Monday. Rain and thunderstorms will remain concentrated in central Finland, shifting slightly farther east. The sun will appear in many parts of the south, while the north will be cloudy.

Tuesday will also be unsettled, with scattered showers in places. Cloud cover will vary, and temperatures will remain mostly between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.
