Taxi passenger charged after refusing to pay fare

A taxi passenger was charged with fraud after refusing to pay the fare, according to a police log reported by mbl.is.

Police in the capital region also stopped numerous drivers on Saturday for suspected driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, mobile phone use and speeding.

Ten drivers were charged with driving under the influence of drugs. Two minor traffic accidents were recorded between 5am and 5pm, but no one was injured.
