16-year-old dies after stabbing at Roskilde party

A 16-year-old boy has died after being stabbed several times at a party in Roskilde, DR reports. Police have arrested another 16-year-old, who has been charged with murder.

The victim was stabbed early in the evening near Louisevej. Police received a report at 5.33pm and said he was flown to Rigshospitalet, but his life could not be saved.

Police said many young people were present near the scene, where a party was also being held in connection with the start of the school year at upper-secondary schools.

The arrested boy is due to appear in a preliminary custody hearing on Saturday, police said.

Investigators are asking young people who may have seen something related to the stabbing to come forward. Deputy police inspector Michael Sehested also urged them to talk to their parents or someone they trust about what they witnessed.
