Car crashes into tractor on Fljótsheiði

A traffic accident involving a car and a tractor has closed the road across Fljótsheiði, mbl.is reports. The collision occurred near Laugar and the Skjálfandafljót river at around 4 p.m.

Police and an ambulance are at the scene assessing the situation and determining how serious the crash was.

It is not yet known whether anyone suffered serious injuries. The road remains closed while emergency responders investigate.
