Polish street artist Kawu has painted a pointed greeting for KÍ and the Faroes ahead of Lech Poznań’s European match against the Faroese club, Kringvarp Føroya reported.
Kawu, a devoted Lech Poznań supporter, travelled to the Faroes several days before the Polish football delegation. He is known for travelling ahead of the team when it plays away matches in Europe and painting Lech Poznań’s distinctive blue and white goat near the opposing team’s stadium.
In his latest work, the goat is shown shearing a rather gloomy sheep. The image refers both to the Faroe Islands and to the European match between KÍ and Lech Poznań. Kawu has shared photographs of the artwork on social media, including Instagram.
He is one of Poznań’s best-known street artists and is also recognised for murals inspired by cartoons, films and video games, as well as for his football-related works.
