Kjarnafæði Norðlenska, in cooperation with Krónan and the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority, is recalling Krónupylsur sausages sold in packs of 10 because soy protein was not listed on the packaging, mbl.is reports.
The recall affects products with a use-by date of 27 August 2026. A printing error meant that the ingredient list was missing from some of the production batch. The product contains soy protein, which may cause allergic reactions in people with a soy allergy or intolerance.
The recalled product information is:
Product: Krónupylsur, 10 sausages
Manufacturer: Kjarnafæði Norðlenska
Batch number: 758-26210-2
Use-by date: 27 August 2026
Distribution: Krónan stores
Consumers with a soy allergy or intolerance are advised not to eat the product. They can either discard it or return it to their nearest Krónan store for a full refund.
Kjarnafæði Norðlenska apologised for any inconvenience and thanked customers for their understanding.
