Car falls into water in Lempäälä, driver rescued before submersion

A car fell into the water in Lempäälä this morning. According to the Pirkanmaa Rescue Department, the vehicle accidentally drove into the Kuokkalankoski near the Koivunokka washing area. A bystander managed to rescue the driver before the car submerged. By the time the rescue team arrived, only the roof of the vehicle was visible. The driver was taken for a medical examination and emerged with only minor injuries.

The rescue team’s task was to tow the submerged car to dry land. However, the flow of the water made the towing process challenging, as noted by the fire chief. After several attempts, the car was eventually pulled back to the shore.
