Gunnar Þórðarson’s funeral held in Reykjavík

The funeral of Icelandic musician Gunnar Þórðarson, who died on July 29, is being held on Thursday, mbl.is reports.

The service began at 3pm at Hallgrímskirkja, where Reverend Hjörtur Magni Jóhannsson is leading the funeral ceremony.

Þórðarson was one of Iceland’s best-loved musicians and composed a large number of celebrated songs.
