More than 71 percent of respondents to a Viðskiptablaðið survey said they plan to vote against restarting Iceland’s accession talks with the European Union in the referendum on 29 August, mbl.is reported.
About one in five said they intend to vote in favour. Nearly 6 percent remained undecided, while 3 percent declined to state their position.
The survey was sent to 288 marketing and analysis professionals, and received 80 responses, representing a response rate of almost 28 percent.
Other opinion polls have indicated that the two sides are closely matched.
