A flight from Stockholm Arlanda Airport turned back after a smoke smell was reported on board, SVT reported, citing TV4 Nyheterna.

The aircraft was carrying 58 passengers, according to the Swedish Maritime and Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre. The crew issued an emergency call after the smoke smell was detected, said Anders Lännholm, a rescue coordinator at the centre.

The aircraft landed safely and was taxiing to the gate, Lännholm said.

The flight had been bound for Vaasa Airport in Finland.
