Victoria and Daniel to visit Aalto University next week

Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will visit Aalto University in Espoo on Friday, August 21, Yle reports.
During their visit, the royal couple will learn about quantum technology, space and satellite technology, and ice research. They will also hear presentations by students and meet students with Swedish backgrounds.
The topics are strategically important to both Sweden and Finland, and the countries have close research cooperation in these fields, Aalto University said in a statement.
This will be the first time Victoria and Daniel visit Aalto University together. Prince Daniel visited the university in 2017 as part of a trip focused on Finland’s innovation and entrepreneurship sector. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden visited Aalto University in 2014.
The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between Finland and Sweden in research, education and innovation. Aalto University Rector Ilkka Niemelä and Director of Donor Relations Camilla Wardi will host the visit.
During their trip to Finland, Victoria and Daniel will also visit Vaasa, including for events marking the 250th anniversary of the Vaasa Court of Appeal.
