A pilot project teaching pupils in Finnmark about war preparedness will likely be introduced across the country, NRK reports.
Education Minister Kari Nessa Nordtun told Nationen that she wants the programme introduced from the next school year. The aim is to make young people and the country better prepared for war and natural disasters.
The training will be delivered in cooperation with the Armed Forces. Pupils in Finnmark have already been learning what to do in a crisis, against a backdrop of growing rivalry among major powers and war in Russia.
