AaFK completes record women’s transfer to Orlando Pride

NRK reports that Sanne Lekven, 25, is leaving Aalesund for the American club Orlando Pride in the biggest transfer in AaFK’s history on the women’s side.

The agreement is also described as one of the largest transfers from a Norwegian club in women’s football history.

“The transfer marks a milestone not only for Sanne, but also for AaFK as a club,” Aalesund said in a statement.

Lekven joined Aalesund from Arna-Bjørnar before this season and played only 10 matches in the top division before moving to the United States.
