Bolungarvík resident compares eclipse weather to Tenerife

Bolungarvík is enjoying exceptionally mild weather as the total solar eclipse passes over, mbl.is reports. Ásgrímur Smári Þorsteinsson sent the publication a photograph of the view from his patio.

“This is just like Tenerife on the patio. I was reading the weather forecast on mbl.is, and the weather was so good here that I decided to send you a picture of the sun,” he said.

As the partial eclipse began to become visible, Ásgrímur sent the journalist another photograph of the sun.
