Commuter trains in the Helsinki metropolitan area were delayed by a switch fault on Wednesday morning, Yle reported, citing HSL.

Trains on the I, K and P lines could run five to 10 minutes late, with some individual cancellations also possible.

The fault was detected early in the morning. HSL said it was expected to be repaired by 10 a.m., revising an earlier estimate of 9 a.m.

The I and P trains run from Helsinki to Helsinki Airport via the Ring Rail Line, which passes through Tikkurila to the east and Myyrmäki to the west. The K train runs between Helsinki and Kerava.
