Yle reports that police ordered an ambulance for a young person who had veered off the road on a moped in Tuusula, correcting claims that help was not requested.
According to an account from HUS, the police called an ambulance to the intersection of Huoltotie and Fallbackantie at 19:52. The ambulance reached the patient at 20:00.
While the ambulance was already treating the patient, an outside person called the emergency response centre and requested an ambulance. The caller was told that the matter was already being handled.
“It is therefore not true that the police did not call for help or cancelled the arrival of the ambulance that had been requested,” Heli Haapalehto, the prosecutor leading the investigation, said in a statement.
