Two teenagers from the Faroe Islands will take part in the youth parliament at the Folketing, Denmark’s parliament, on 25 January next year, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
A total of 179 students in grades eight to 10 have been invited to participate. They include two students from the Faroe Islands and two from Greenland.
The students must submit legislative proposals. Sixty proposals will then be selected, and the students behind them will be invited to the youth parliament with their teachers.
The Folketing’s youth parliament is held every other year.
