One arrested after suspected assault in Reykjavík

One person was arrested in Reykjavík yesterday evening or overnight on suspicion of assault, mbl.is reports. The police log does not say how serious the assault was or what consequences may follow.

Police in the capital region received two reports of suspicious movements. Officers found no one at the scene in one case, while employees were finishing work when police arrived in the other.

At least three drivers were also stopped. Two were suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, while the third was stopped for using a phone without hands-free equipment while driving.
