Third suspect brought before judge in Kársnes death case

A third suspect was brought before a judge late Monday in connection with the suspected killing of a man in an apartment building on Vallargerði in Kársnes on Sunday, mbl.is reports.

Police requested that the suspect be remanded in custody, but it has not been confirmed whether the request was granted.

Two other suspects were remanded in custody earlier Monday in the same case. One is an Icelandic citizen and the other is a foreign national.

One of the two was ordered held until August 17, while the other was ordered held until August 21. Police have declined to comment, and it is unclear whether anyone else is in custody.

The deceased was a foreign national in his forties. He died from his injuries at Landspítali hospital.
