Temperatures to reach 19C across Iceland

Temperatures will reach 12C to 19C across most of Iceland on Monday, mbl.is reports, with mostly clear skies and light winds in many areas.

There may be isolated afternoon showers inland. Temperatures will rise especially in the north and east.

In the capital region, winds will be light and variable with mostly clear skies. Temperatures will range from 12C to 18C.

Cloud cover will increase overnight. On Tuesday, easterly winds of 8 to 15 metres per second are expected in the south, where rain is likely to begin in the afternoon. Northern areas will continue to have light variable winds and mostly clear skies, with little change in temperatures.

In the capital region, easterly winds of 3 to 8 metres per second are expected on Tuesday, with rain possible on Tuesday evening.
