Bus overturns in Trøndelag, several passengers seriously injured

Several passengers were seriously injured when a tourist bus left the E6 in Namdalen, Trøndelag, Dagbladet reports.

The bus came to rest on its side, according to operations leader Anlaug Oseid in the police log. Around 30 people were believed to be on board.

An ambulance was at the scene, while other emergency services were responding. An air ambulance was also on its way and was expected to arrive at around noon.

Rescue helicopters from Bodø and Ørland were also dispatched, police said.

Namsos Hospital was placed on red alert at 11.38 because of the possibility of a large influx of patients, communications adviser Robert Morberg told Namdalsavisa.
