Two men injured in serious Fredrikstad violence

Two men in their 20s were injured in a serious violent incident in central Fredrikstad on Friday evening, Dagbladet reports. One was taken to hospital by ambulance and the other was flown to Ullevål Hospital by air ambulance.

One of the men received life-saving first aid, police said. Both are believed to be from Fredrikstad.

Police said the injuries appeared to have been inflicted by the two injured men on each other. They added that no unknown suspect was believed to be at large.

A third person who was present during the incident has been arrested because of the seriousness of the case. Police said it was not yet known to what extent the person was directly involved.

Emergency services responded to the incident at 7.27pm. The area was cordoned off, according to Fredrikstad Blad.
