Police investigate five suspected sexual offences in Turku

Southwestern Finland Police are investigating five reported sexual offences in Turku, including a recent suspected rape, Yle reports. A 21 year old man suspected of the offences has been detained.

All five suspected offences took place in or near central Turku during the evening or at night. They are believed to have occurred between late December and early August.

Police will ask the Southwest Finland District Court to remand the man in custody on Friday.

The investigation will continue with interviews and a technical examination.
