Influencer and teacher Camilla Dohn, 27, and a male colleague in his 40s were killed in a motorcycle accident near Vejen on Wednesday morning, DR reports.

The crash happened on Lykkegårdsvej in Veerst, near Vejen, in southwestern Jutland. The man was a passenger on the motorcycle and also taught at Vejen Friskole, the school where Dohn worked.

Jens Søndergaard, the school’s head, told DR South that staff were deeply affected by the deaths. The school leadership is supporting colleagues, parents and pupils ahead of the new school year, which begins on Tuesday.

Søndergaard declined to comment further, saying the grief was overwhelming.

Dohn was a popular Danish influencer who posted about lifestyle, home decoration and everyday life with her two young children. She was especially active on Instagram and TikTok, where she had 100,000 followers.

Nathalie Larsen, an influencer expert and creative director at communications agency Lead Agency, said Dohn was known for showing the imperfect and humorous sides of life.

She said Dohn was relatable without making it a strategy, using self-irony, everyday chaos and humour to show less polished aspects of life. Larsen described her as part of a reaction against the highly perfect and polished image often associated with influencers.

Dohn also addressed taboos, including relationships with large age differences. Her former husband was considerably older than her, and she used social media to challenge the stigma surrounding such relationships.
