Novo Nordisk has raised its expectations for 2026 after reporting adjusted operating profit above forecasts, DR reported.
Adjusted operating profit reached 33.4 billion kroner in the second quarter, an increase of 8 per cent in Danish kroner, according to a statement issued early Tuesday evening.
The company has also raised its expectations for sales of GLP-1 products.
Its weight-loss drug Wegovy was launched in tablet form during the past six months.
“The Wegovy product portfolio continues to be a key growth driver for Novo Nordisk in 2026, led by the continued rapid adoption of the Wegovy tablet in the US,” chief executive Mike Doustdar said in the statement.
